After careful consideration and guidance from PMI Global, the PMI Central Alabama Chapter (PMICAC) has decided to postpone our annual Professional Development Day (PDD) until the fall of 2020. This decision was made based on discussions with the venue, speakers, vendors and potential cancellations.

The PMICAC Board plans to offer the PDD in the fall timeframe combined with a 25th Anniversary Chapter Celebration. More communication about the event will be passed along as things become clearer over the summer.

Additionally, PMICAC understands the impact that the PDD has for members’ PDU planning. If members need information about other PDU resources available, please visit the PMI COVID-19 Resource Hub for free online courses or contact the PMICAC Board. Members can also stay connected to the global community at www.projectmanagement.com

All upcoming events and chapter meetings will be individually assessed and will be communicated as needed. Thank you for your understanding in this unique time that impacts all of us!

PMI is committed to the safety and well-being of our global community, which is why we have a designated Crisis Task Force that is continuously monitoring the situation arising from coronavirus (COVID-19) daily.

We are taking additional steps to make this time easier for our community.  As a result, we have decided to extend access to the current PMP exam until December 31, 2020, and postpone the launch of the new exam until January 2, 2021.This postponement will provide candidates with additional time and access to training resources to help them prepare and sit for the exam confidently.

Please bookmark this page, and check back for any updates regarding the exam change.

If you have already scheduled your exam, or plan to do so in the near future, please consult our COVID-19 page for the latest updates and guidance. If you have additional questions or need assistance, please contact Customer Care

The March 17 Chapter Meeting is Cancelled. Due to the effects of COVID-19, the PMI Central Alabama Chapter has made a decision to CANCEL THE MARCH 2020 CHAPTER MEETING. Because of CDC recommendations related to public gatherings due to the spread of COVID-19 PMICAC feels it is in the best interest of our members to cancel the chapter meeting.

As things progress through March, we will reassess next month for the April 2020 chapter meeting. Thank you for your understanding!
