Topic: Microsoft Project Overview

Have you ever considered utilizing Microsoft Project to manage your project plans? It is a great tool if you know how to use it! In this month’s chapter meeting we will discuss the benefits of moving to Microsoft Project from a business perspective and explore some of it’s features including scheduling, baselining, resource management, reporting and more! Hear from an experienced Microsoft Project user on their experience managing projects and programs with the software.

Bio: Elizabeth Wright is a Senior Project Manager in the healthcare industry where she manages strategic projects and programs including a recent organizational implementation of agile methodology. As an Adjunct Instructor at UAB in the Collat School of Business, Ms. Wright teaches a variety of courses including Project Management to undergraduate, graduate and professional students.

Mrs. Wright is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute and has a Professional, Academy for Healthcare Management (PAHM) designation. She earned a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Birmingham-Southern College in Business Management with a distinction in Leadership Studies. She also currently serves as the PMICAC’s VP of Education.
