Topic: Business Architecture in Practice

Alex will share how Principal built a business architecture practice using a distributed center of excellence model. Highlights will include learning about the genesis of the practice, cross-business unit collaboration, and how we have driven business insights and success. Particular emphasis will be placed on learning about our synergies with BPM, agile methodologies, digital transformation, and data-driven decisions.

Bio: Alex Randell is Assistant Director, Business Architecture & IT Team Leader at Principal. He leads the business architecture and BPM disciplines that enable strategic business transformations. Alex is a member of the Business Architecture Guild's Board of Directors and Editorial Board, is the founder of the Des Moines Business Architecture group, holds an MBA with Marketing emphasis from the University of Iowa, and is a Certified Business Architect (CBA)®.
