Topic: How Business Architecture Value Streams Can Benefit Project and Program Managers

The intent of this presentation is to arm any Program and Project Manager with another tool in his or her toolbox. There are many business architecture frameworks that can aid in the evaluation, funding decision-making, and subsequent implementation of any program or project. One of those concepts is a Business Value Stream. This presentation will identify what program and project managers can do with or without the help of business architecture practitioners to facilitate appropriate selection and then effective implementation and evaluation of funded initiatives. Here is the outline of the content:

Bio: Frank S. Fons is currently a Senior Business Architect for HCSC, which is Blue Cross of IL, TX, OK, NM, and MT, who excels at relationship building, communication, analysis, and presentations. He has 30+ years business experience in a few industries, including Business Architecture and management consulting for over 9 years, Project Management professional for over 12 years, former consultative services business owner, and many years of sales, customer service, product pilots, implementation, and training.

Frank focuses on business transformation using business architecture and project management frameworks and tools to guide decision-making. He is adept at strategy facilitation and use of models to visualize impacts of selected strategies and tactics for organizations. He collaborates with disparate stakeholders to link successful execution of IT initiatives and changes in utilization of people, processes, data, and information to desired outcomes specified in plans containing strategies and goals. Frank has in-depth industry knowledge of health insurance and health care delivery, property and casualty insurance, banking and financial analysis, software consulting, sales, and implementation.

Frank loves to travel, cook, play tennis, try ethnic cuisine, participate in a quarterly book club, garden, bike, play board and card games, view and collect art and souvenirs from around the world, listen to all kinds of music, attend a variety of plays, musicals, dance performances, and movies, and spend quality time with friends and family. He recently developed some skills in baking, since working from home since mid-March due to COVID-19 lock-down.

Frank is the youngest of 9 children; has 20 nieces and nephews, 2 godchildren, and 11 great nieces and nephews, with another one on the way; grew up in Milwaukee; has lovingly called Chicago home since 1990.

He has traveled to many interesting places around the globe, including but not limited to Myanmar, Thailand, Australia (including the Great Barrier Reef, Ayers Rock, The Australian Open, The Penguin Parade, Tasmania, and much more), Hong Kong, Peru, Chile, Easter Island, Brazil including the 2016 Rio Olympics, 11 countries in Europe.
