My name is Michael Dale and I am a PhD candidate at Piedmont International University studying Leadership. My dissertation study entails the evaluation of servant leadership and successful project outcomes. I am interested in collecting data that rejects or fails to reject the hypothesis that project managers with a servant style of leadership may correlate with successful technology project outcomes.
In the past decade there has been an abundance of research and study into the subject of leadership and project management. These modern researchers addressed components of leadership that have influenced project outcomes. The decade prior, researchers noted an exhaustive amount of investigation that only explored the general concept of leadership and its importance to project management.
My dissertation study will examine popular leadership styles and concepts that have been thoroughly researched and academically proven. However, the focus of this exhaustive study will be on a literary review of servant leadership. There has been an inadequate amount of scholarly research on servant leadership as a style and project outcomes. The research question will ask: “What is the relationship, if any, between successful technology project outcomes and project managers who practice a servant style of leadership?”
The 17-question survey is available below for participants who want to be part of the study. The survey is administered by SurveyMonkey and will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. The survey will not ask any private or sensitive questions and responses will be anonymous.
